Golf
The 9-hole, par 36, championship standard Resort Course is situated within the idyllic grounds of the Resort. Designed by Peter Harradine and opened in 1998, the Resort Course has hosted the world’s best players as part of the official curtain raiser to the European PGA Tour event, the Dubai Desert Classic.
Each hole is uniquely landscaped with exotic trees, shrubs and original desert flora and the course also features a saltwater lake, which comes into play on five holes. The wooden gazebos, views of the Arabian Gulf and peacocks, which freely roam the fairways, have added a special charm to this course that is a fair and exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities.
Leisure
With a choice of two fresh water and one saltwater pool in addition to nearly a kilometre long private beach, you have unmatched views and shaded areas within the lush Resort gardens. Food and beverage are served at the many pool and beach bars throughout the day.
When staying at the Resort you will have access to a full range of water sports. While water skiing and banana boat rides plays on the excitement of speed in the water, windsurfing, laser and catamaran vessels allow you to test your steering skills as the wind pick up. Club Joumana offers a variety of leisure and recreational facilities. A separate centre for shooting and sport excellence is located just three kilometres from the Resort. With its own Stables and paddock the Resort also offers professional private lessons for beginners and excursions for experienced riders. The impressive fortress style architecture as you first enter, makes the Jebel Ali International Shooting Club an imposing sight from the very start. This indoor and outdoor shooting academy, built to exacting international safety standards, makes the exciting sport of recreational and competitive shooting easily accessible to all.
The Jebel Ali International Centre of Excellence comprises a Sports Academy and Leadership Centre, which provides training and development facilities and activities for sports clubs, schools, youth clubs and corporate businesses from across the globe. The facility is located within the 168 acre grounds of the Jebel Ali International Shooting Club.
Children’s activities
Plenty of activities are organised for youngsters throughout the Resort. The Peaco Club operates daily throughout the year for children between 3 and 12 years. Open from 10.00am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 7pm, a weekly activity programme is scheduled and a pet corner is available to keep the little ones happy.
If the parents need an evening out, the Resort offers a baby-sitting service for children over the age of 1 year. Children over the age of 3 years can avail of the babysitting service after the Peaco Club is closed until 1am.

Guests, who book spa treatments, receive complimentary access to the wet spa facilities.

The Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa is situated approximately 2.5 kilometres from the trunk of The Palm, Jebel Ali. This extraordinary man-made island in the shape of a date palm tree, will be the location for a variety of entertainment and residential complexes once it is completed. The present development work is clearly visible from the Resort and it is occasionally accompanied by sounds that have been described by guests as the sound of ‘very distant thunder’ or ‘slight humming’ while on the beach, balcony or terrace. This however does not impact upon the enjoyment of our guests at the Resort.
